For this project, I created a 4 color Jacquard design using the Shima Seiki APEX knit software. The dress was knit on a Shima Seiki SRY knitting machine.

I was inspired by a marble bust of Julius Cesar. I have always been interested in classical art, and the concept of marble being transformed into a sculpture that looks soft is something that speaks to my design aesthetic.

The yarn used for this dress is a 60/2 cotton yarn donated from Ralph Lauren. I chose RL Navy, New Iris, Driver Green, and Light Jade for my color palette since it had enough contrast to really show my design given that we were limited to a 4 color palette.
